Both of these games in one are fantastic! Each one has the basic components, but add flrai to challenge and make it so much fun! Do you use a train to Garner more points? Or place it on the board?

Iberia Review for Two Players
The Iberia map works for two players. It's a little more compact than Netherlands but not so tiny like the little city maps. You only use 35 trains. There are some big game changes the main one for me being the Festival Cities cards. These are mixed in with the train cards. There are quite a few Festival Cities cards and the more you collect the more points you get. And you can get a lot of points from them. The other biggest change is that at the beginning of the game you must take 4 Destination Tickets (no more, no less). And midway through the game you will take 4 more that you must keep. If that sounds like a lot then it's surprising that in a two player game we both completed all eight tickets. I think this is because most of the routes are shorter and the segments are in general shorter. The Iberia map offers enough room to build without the map being too big like the original or Europe which I don't think work well for two players. Netherlands is still the best. But the main problem for me in Iberia is the Festival Cities. Too many points and if the Festival cards don't fall your way then you're out of luck. In my two player games the scores are usually close playing the Netherlands rules. But in Iberia the scores are usually not even close depending on who got the most Festival Cities cards. It's a game changer. Maybe you'll like it but for me it created point swings that were too big.
