Easy to use with a good balance of electrolytes.
I was a little surprised when initially mixing these up as the white powder turned into a red drink, which at least gives you a clear indication as to what is in your drinks bottle. The stated ingredients look like a good all round mix, which I appreciated, and I felt that they can only help to keep me better hydrated throughout the day, especially on a particularly hectic one. If you are making this in too much of a hurry it does tend to clump up, especially if you just try to put the powder into a glass of water and then stir it; it goes clumpy and no amount of stirring with a spoon seems to get the lumps out. I have taken to just using a shaker instead which works much better. There is a slight creaminess to the taste which initially surprised me but it actually wasn't unpleasant. The strawberry flavour is fine and I was pleased to find that it didn't taste too artificially sweet, which I often find off putting. I was expecting it to taste a little more salty, however. The packets themselves seem a bit on the large side considering the amount of powder inside as they are a bit air filled and puffy, but once opened they are easy to pour. I have had no problem with the contents clumping up and solidifying inside the sachet as I have experienced with other similar products. Overall these seem to be a easy to use and pleasant way of getting a good balance of electrolytes into you and helping to keep you hydrated.

Pleasantly balanced electrolyte mix for steady daytime hydration
The Hydration Electrolytes sachets are a convenient and travel friendly option for maintaining fluid balance during the day, especially if you work in an office environment where it is easy to forget to hydrate properly. I have been using one sachet mixed into a bottle of water during the workday, and it feels like it contributes positively to overall wellbeing and energy levels. Flavour-wise, it sits very much in line with typical electrolyte powders, with that familiar combination of slightly salty and fruity notes. The strawberry flavour here is pleasantly restrained though. It is not overly sweet, which I appreciate, and it avoids the cloying taste some hydration mixes have. There is also no unpleasant lingering aftertaste, which makes it easy to sip throughout the day rather than needing to drink it quickly. Each individual sachet is clearly printed with the product information, which is a small but very useful detail for reference if you keep a few in a bag or drawer at work. It saves having to keep the outer box around just to check dosage or ingredients. In terms of formulation, the ingredient list appears thoughtfully put together. It includes key electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and magnesium to support hydration and muscle function, along with vitamins B6 and B12 which are commonly associated with energy metabolism and reduced fatigue. The addition of BCAAs may appeal to those who are also active or exercising, although they are not strictly necessary for general hydration. The powder dissolves well with a quick shake, leaving only minimal residue at the bottom of the bottle. I found using a shaker bottle works best for a completely smooth mix. At £19.99 for 12 servings, you are paying a bit more than for basic electrolyte tablets, but the balanced flavour, well-considered ingredient profile and convenient single-serve sachets may make it a practical choice for regular daily use at work or on the go.

Pleasant taste, less salty than most
I'm used to electrolyte drinks tasting quite salty, which can be a little unpalatable and make them difficult to drink, especially if they try to cover the saltiness with excessive sweetness which makes them a bit sickly. This one's managed to get the balance right, in my opinion. There is an undertone of salt, I don't think you're ever going to completely get away from that with an electrolyte drink just because of the nature of what they are, but the fruit flavour is strong enough to cover the majority of it without being so syrupy sweet that it's unpleasant. If you like watermelon, it's really quite a nice taste and is fairly true to what a watermelon genuinely tastes like. The strawberry flavour is there, but not as evident as the watermelon in my opinion. Either way, it's quite a light, refreshing flavour, although of course does depend on how much you dilute it with water. So if it's coming across as too strong for you, I'd recommend just adding in some more water. I have personally found electrolytes to help make me feel more hydrated during days where I'm doing a lot of exercise, particularly in the heat when I'm sweating a lot. Maybe it's psychosomatic, but I just don't feel as dehydrated when I'm drinking an electrolyte drink compared to straight water. Part of that is probably that I'm a bit bad with drinking plain water and really prefer there to be at least a little flavour to it, so I'm likely going to be drinking more of this than I would if it were just unflavoured water, which in itself would help prevent the effects of dehydration. It's not something I'd want to (or feel I'd need to) drink every day, and certainly at the current price of £19.99 for 12 sachets (about £1.67 each), it is a little pricey. But if you're wanting to have a little pick-me-up during a solid gym session, or a day doing some sort of sports, this isn't a bad option - especially considering it's cheaper than buying a pre-mixed bottle from a vending machine.
