This charger works great! It is thick and sturdy. Out of the box, it charged my phone 3 nights in a row in our non-electric campsite. It even appeared to be solar-recharging inside the tent! However, when we got home, after charging on the dash of our car for the 3-hour trip, it had not charged more than 1 level. We plugged it into the wall at home, and it still went for a while not moving past the first level of charge. I wrote to the company, and they got back to me right away. They said to give it 6 hours on the outlet to fully charge. So, we left it plugged in all night, and low and behold it was fully charged! We are satisfied with the product, and very pleased with the speed and accuracy of the customer service rep!

I usually only write reviews when I really liked something. This was such a GREAT purchase. It’s very handy and it works amazing. Easy to use. Great quality. As soon as it hits the sun the charger instantly starts charging itself. 10/10 would buy again. It is a bit on the heavy side but it’s so great I don’t really mind it.

I was pleased when I pulled this out of the box--it's the best-designed charger I've seen, and the 4 built-in cables are super handy. (One gripe: the only built-in cable that can charge the power bank itself is the USB-A one, the other 3 built-ins are output only, would be nice if the USB-C could be an input as well.) The first thing I did when I got the device was turn the flashlight on and see how long it ran for. I set up a timer on my phone, and it lasted... *54 HOURS*. This seemed like a new league of power bank for me, and I was almost certain it was going to have to be a five star review with how solid it was. But then... I left it in the yard to charge. When you take it into the light, a green LED illuminates to tell you it's solar charging. The manual says not to let it get "too hot" but defines that as 104 degrees, and it was about 90 at most...with some rainy days. I put it on a piece of styrofoam so that it wouldn't wind up in mud, but I figured it was good to put the weatherproof claims to the test. After 5 days of being in the yard it was still blinking one dot--it didn't seem to have charged much at all. Finally I decided to just bring it inside and charge it from the wall. But when I did, it wouldn't ever turn the battery indicator lights off... they just stayed lit up all the time instead of going off after a delay. So the bank was constantly draining power to show the battery status. Usually when I get review items that disappoint me, I just write a critical review and don't bother returning them--but in this case, I liked the design. So I submitted for a replacement. But before putting the bad one in the mail, I wanted to run the battery down completely for safety... and that took *DAYS* of charging my phone, headphones, mouse... anything I could find to try and run it down. Because I was trying to put it in a box and send it back dead, it was annoying, but it was a good annoyance--there's a lot of juice in the box. I'm not going to put the new one outside and am going to care for it as a normal power bank, but maybe in a pinch the solar can get a small amount of power.

I’ve taken this on two separate hiking trips and it worked great to keep my phone and other electronics charged. It’s a little heavy but definitely recommend it!
