Have two dualsense controllers with jitter on the right sticks. I had heard hall effects would correct the problem but didnt want to waste the high cost at the moment. And after having the same issue with ps4 controllers years back, I knew the level of work it would take to change these. I bought the tiny film with potentiometers first to try out. Those where a lot cheaper and it was a lot easier to just put a little solder on top of the original stick contacts. Tried those on my dead ps4 controllers and as I thought, it didnt do much. With those tiny film potentiometers you adjust on one end but the other side of the travel gets messed up. Those where more luck than a guaranteed solution. After a year finally saw this hall effect ones on a reasonable price and decided to buy them. Be advised this is a complicated replacement to do. The toughest part is removing the original ones from the controller. Controller can be opened with a quick internet video. But desoldering the old one takes A LOT of patience. If your up for the challenge it'll fix your dead ps5 controller for sure. Just take your time a dont rush. Once you get the original one off its easy putting the new one in and just taping the solder points. To calibrate them after, just go on the internet and look for a video. Its easy and again, PATIENCE is the key on removing the old one AND calibrating the new one. From a 50 dead zone setting on apex were down to a 0. Oh and I only replaced the bad one. The other joystick on the controller was fine. If it also goes bad along the way I'll just do the same.

My son has had his PS5 for two years now. He has been dealing with stick drift since about 3 months after starting playing. At first I could go in and clean the wipers. Then I bought replacement analog joysticks and just put those wipers in. I finally broke down and purchased these Hall effect joysticks. I should have done this from the start!! Easy enough to swap out. I have very little experience with soldering but was confident enough. Definitely use high heat and a broader iron tip. Probably don’t spring for the cheapest iron like I did. And don’t let the solder points combine. They actually do need to be separated, cleanish looking. Plenty of helpful videos out there to show you different methods for removing the OEM sticks. After replacing them, my son says the drift is gone and it is even more precise control. For a few dollars you can have an awesome functioning controller again!! Just go for it if you are on the fence.

Eso sí, no es un producto para cualquier persona. Si nunca has desarmado un control o no sabes soldar, probablemente te resulte complicado instalarlo. En mi caso tuve que ver tutoriales y hacer una calibración después para que quedara funcionando correctamente. Incluso varios usuarios comentan que la instalación puede ser algo tediosa si no tienes experiencia previa. Lo positivo: -Solucionó el drift de mi control -Incluye 4 piezas, lo cual da repuestos extra -Se sienten bastante precisos al jugar -Más económicos que comprar otro control nuevo Lo negativo: -La instalación no es sencilla -Requiere herramientas y algo de experiencia -Puede necesitar calibración para quedar perfecto En resumen, si sabes hacer reparaciones básicas o tienes a alguien que pueda instalarlo por ti, me parece una compra útil para extender la vida de tu control sin gastar demasiado. No es perfecto, pero en mi experiencia cumplió con lo que necesitaba.

Ikpek Hall-Effect Joysticks for PlayStation 5 – 4 Pack The joysticks arrived safely in a plastic casing. Installation is pretty easy and straightforward if you have the necessary skills, or you can follow one of the many in-depth YouTube tutorials available. There are various guides online to help with installation. The Hall-Effect joysticks work great after calibrating them with software online. The range is impressive, as is the circularity. The reason I rated them 4 stars is that while movement works perfectly up, down, left, and right, pressing the R3 (clicking the joystick down) does not register. I’m not sure if this is a specific quality issue with mine, but it doesn’t work for me. After researching online, it could be due to the joysticks not being soldered correctly or a cold solder joint. I double-checked my work, and everything seems fine, but the R3 still doesn’t function. Other than that, it’s a great product. I just wish my R3 worked. I definitely recommend this product.

This will fix stick drift if soldered to the PCB board correctly.

Very disappointed. Not only is my boyfriend a technician but we also took the controllers to two different repair stores. Absolutely none of the joysticks worked at all and even when soldered on, there is major stick drift. We expected so much because of the other reviews but got absolutely nothing. Would not recommend…

Great sticks. This repair is fairly advanced. If you have the equipment and skill to remove the original sticks, these go on easy peasy. The trick is getting the original sticks off without damaging anything. You MUST run the config app on them or they will seem borked at first try.

TL;DR: Significantly quieter and better feeling than the factory joysticks. Might get a button/joystick that doesn't work. Your mileage may vary. I replaced two factory joysticks with two of these. After replacement, I discovered that one of the joysticks had a faulty joystick button; in my case, L3 did not function at all. I did go back and review my soldering work, and I did desolder the leads of the joystick button and solder again, but I could not get it to work. Another word of warning: this was my first joystick replacement, and I did not know that the sticks had to be calibrated. If one just replaces the factory sticks with these, it is very likely to have deadzone issues. I used the DualShock Calibration GUI online to calibrate them and save it to my controller, and they both work perfectly. Since I bought a four-pack, I plan on replacing the one with a faulty stick button with another to confirm that the button is faulty. I will add pictures whenever I do.

Didn't realize we needed more tools to replace. So we returned.

3 of the 4 were damaged internally. The joystick wouldn’t move properly causing drift. I had to remove them and get new ones. Check them before installing to save yourself a headache. Also, they wouldn’t calibrate properly.

No more ps5 stick drifting.

I had my doubt that hall effect sticks are this cheap. And it's my first time soldering too I manged to not brick the board and it works. Didn't even need to calibrate it with gui. It was perfect and then I closed the case and the sticks would stay in place like the other reviews you may see. But the problem is the stick is tiny tiny bit taller than originals . All I did was push the stick covers nice and tight and everything works fine. P.S I was scared when I put it all together and it behaved the same way as other reviews here but use your brains it is PERFECT and cheap what else do you need.
